CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

EBM Construction is currently seeking a motivated and success driven Construction Project Manager in developing grain storage and feed mill facilities. This entry-level position in a rural community will lead complex industrial agriculture projects, learn EBM project methods and planning. Regular full-time office hours, however successful candidate may occasionally experience longer hours, and overnight travel to maintain efficient flow of projects.

Project Manager Duties include:

  • Collaborating with general manager, construction foreman, sub-contractors, drafters, and sales department
  • Verify EBM quotes meet the needs of the application, write requisitions for purchasing, verify acknowledgements and shop drawings, and assist in updating job schedules
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports or cost tracking reports; monitor billing and turn in final paperwork for processing
  • Work with AutoCAD for basic layout, design, revisions; utilize total station and GPS for site layout
  • Willing to travel and stay near project location during construction and start-up to review progress, resolve issues, adjust schedule as needed, and assist sub-contractors and construction crews with job site activities
 

Preferences:

  • Associate or Bachelor of Science in Ag or Construction engineering or related discipline is required. (Soon to be graduates will be considered.)
  • Experience with agricultural process systems is preferred, however any process experience is helpful
  • Drafting , AutoCAD, and blueprint reading knowledge • Microsoft Office including Project or equivalent experience
  • OSHA 1
  • Ability to occasionally work at heights and confined spaces, and lift 50-90 lbs
  • Good troubleshooting skills with a strong mechanical aptitude, ability to train and motivate others
